Christian, yet more than Christian

Statement of Faith

1) I believe in One Almighty God, Eternal Creator of Heaven and Earth, who is all-knowing, all-powerful, all-pervasive, both immanent and transcendent; all things, seen and unseen are in Him, and He is in all things.

2) I believe in One Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of Man, Fully Divine and Fully Human, the Word, Logos, the Saviour of All Mankind. Knowing and following the way of Jesus Christ is essential to come to God, as are personal discipline, good conduct, purification, pilgrimage, self-inquiry, prayer and meditation.

3) I believe in free-will, and the law of cause and effect by which each individual chooses his own destiny in this lifetime by his thoughts, words, and deeds. Each individual is free to choose to accept or reject Gods unmerited saving grace.

4) I believe that the soul reincarnates, evolving through many births, and many chances to accept Gods gift of Salvation, and will obtain spiritual knowledge and liberation from the cycle of rebirth by being reunited with God in Heaven. Not a single soul will be eternally deprived of this destiny, all will be reunited with God.

5) I believe that the Universe has undergone countless cycles of creation, preservation and dissolution. At the end of this cycle of creation, when all souls are reunited with God, those souls who have attained salvation will become one with God in Heaven, while those souls which have rejected Gods salvation will be purged or annihilated in the fires of Hell.

6) I believe that divine beings/angels/saints exist in unseen worlds and that spiritual practices such as prayer, sacred rituals and sacraments as well as personal devotionals create a communion with these that have ascended before us, and a communion with God.

7) I believe that all life and all of creation is sacred, to be loved and respected. Non-violence, non-injury, is an ideal that cannot always be achieved, yet we must strive to do the least harm possible to our fellow man and to the world around us.

8) I believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible, the most ancient scriptures, and other holy writings. The Bible above all is God’s word and the bedrock of faith.

9) I believe that while Christianity best conveys Gods message, no particular religion contains the fullness of All that is God. All genuine religious paths convey facets of God’s Truth and Pure Love and Light, and are deserving tolerance and understanding.
